Apple Teens Mulan JR

Apple Teens is an audition-only performance class for experienced youth performers ages 12-18. Apple Teens rehearse two days a week and gain skills in musical theater, acting, and performance techniques. This experience guides young actors towards their goal of a polished, professional-looking final performance.

Apple Teens perform 4 shows twice a year at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Spring and Fall.  Teens audition for each individual production of Apple Teens.

Participation Fee: $550 ($1300 for Junior Theater Festival Shows)
Required Parent Volunteer Hours: 15
(A deposit of $150 is required until hours are achieved. You may also elect to pay the fee in lieu of volunteer hours.)

What’s included in the fee:

1. An intense but rewarding rehearsal process
2. An optional private one-hour lesson with director
3. Performance and rehearsal materials (script, music, etc.)
4. A show t-shirt
5. A DVD of the final performance

What’s not included in the fee:

1. Show Shoes: (typically jazz, character shoes, or tap shoes – women – or dress shoes – men).
2. Proper undergarments: women: nude/skin toned leotards, tights, and bra and panties; 
   men: fitted boxer briefs (grey or black), fitted tank undershirt (grey or black) and black socks.
3. Standard Costume Bases: often black/brown dress pants, jazz pants, black skirt, leggings, etc.
